Just A Little Bit About Me
Photography is my way of connecting with the world and its people. It’s a profound privilege to be invited into someone’s life, even if just for a moment, to capture their story. What drives me is the opportunity to document the authentic connections that bind us as human beings—the love, the joy, the quiet moments of reflection. These are the threads that weave us all together.
It’s my honour to preserve connection through my lens.
My passion for photography stems from a deep desire to document the beauty of our shared human experience. Over the past 20 years, my travels have taken me across Asia and Western North America, allowing me to witness the diverse ways in which we express our humanity. My first major journey, a solo adventure across northern India at age 20, was a transformative experience that opened my eyes to the richness of life and the interconnectedness of all people. This experience ignited a lifelong curiosity and respect for the world, and this curiosity continues to inform my work.
Travelling has taught me that, despite our differences, we are all part of a larger human family. This realization has deepened my sense of empathy and my commitment to capturing the moments that matter—the ones that speak to our shared experiences and emotions. I see photography as a way to honour these connections and create a lasting record of the beauty I see in the world.
Why I Do What I Do
For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about creating meaningful connections and telling the stories that might otherwise go untold. I’m driven by a desire to capture the raw, unfiltered emotions that make us human—the laughter, the tears, the quiet moments of love and connection. These moments define our lives, and I believe they deserve to be remembered.
My approach is rooted in a deep respect for the authenticity of each moment. I aim to document your story in a way that feels true to who you are, capturing the full spectrum of emotions and experiences that make your journey unique. I also believe in the power of portraiture to capture not just how you look, but how you feel in a moment—creating images that resonate with meaning and emotion.
Ultimately, I aim to create images that serve as a bridge to the past, connecting you and your loved ones to the memories that shape your lives. These photos are more than just pictures—they’re a legacy, a way to keep the story of your life alive for future generations.
My Style
Taking photos should be fun and working with me will be fun! :) I am a big goofball and love to laugh! I work hard to put you in the best light, giving direction and positive feedback. At the end of the day, sincere emotion will be the star. We're in this together and it will be an adventure!
My style of shooting is mainly photojournalistic. I will capture the full spectrum of emotion and all the quirky things that happen during the day. Your genuine experience will be my primary focus. I will also be sure to set aside time for truly, epic portraiture with simply guided posing. Capturing your connection to each other forever in breathtaking images creating stunning artwork for your home.
In all these moments, we will create physical memories of this fleeting time in your life. These images serve as emotional connections to your past, not only for you but for your children and grandchildren to come.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, I am always ready to travel and explore new stories, wherever they may be. My work is driven by a deep passion for human connection and a commitment to capturing the beauty of life in all its forms.
